First, because this headline really needs to be shared far and wide: Skywalkers in Korea Cross Han Solo.

Second, for much the same reason: Chromatic Marvel, a Marvel universe that's not so white. Following posts here, here, and here.

Third, I got a e-mail from house_fanawards telling me Left Of West was nominated for "other ship", for what I think is the reason of it not fitting into any category neatly. As flattering as the news is, it's mildly confusing, as I've never heard of or don't remember hearing about this organization, and on some level I'd rather have people comment on the story itself. I'll probably agree to the nomination, on the grounds that it seems innocuous enough.

I just got an email saying I'd been nominated with A Pound of Cure, and had a similar "Huh?" reaction. I have no idea who nominated me, since none of my friends have even mentioned the existence of the awards. I remember them from last year, though I wasn't involved then.

I'll accept for the same reason you did, too; seems harmless enough. These apparently are not the people who were behind the huge mountain of fail with that other awards thing which, if I recall correctly, never went forward at all.
