Unpleasantness.

Two nights of fuzziness got to be too much. Last night was a struggle and tonight I called it off early. I haven't felt this detached from writing for a very long time, and saying I don't care for it is putting it as discreetly as I'm capable of. It's one of the most wearying things I know of.

I'm going back to struggling with sleep because at least minimal chemical management gets a clear head the following evening, and maybe starting the story over from scratch to see if that helps manage the tone and cadence of the prose.
