Another year around the sun.

petra sing to me and giving clear directions to some wandering tourists - they'd wanted to sit up front in the bus, not the back, to ask the bus driver when to get off. I asked them where they were going, which was the Met, which had me say, "Fifth Avenue, right across the park." For whatever reason, it felt very Manhattan to me to say it like that.
Mostly, it was having to deal with a couple of phone calls about the ongoing mattress brouhaha and going out to dinner with family. My parents, a couple cousins from out of town, and myself. Dinner was nice. The company was good. And I couldn't tell if I wanted to go or if I felt an obligation, and if I'd have enjoyed myself more staying in, getting some writing done, and maybe watching a movie. It's a dilemma. I'll see about what I can manage tomorrow.
