Media hoarding.
After some experimenting followed by some problem-solving, I've got a computer that can read, play, and rip Blu-Ray discs. What I don't have is the kind of storage space to make ripping them feasible in any meaningful way. Even if I'm just going after the special features - and that still wouldn't get me commentary tracks.
From here, the solutions include investing in a much larger amount of storage space and figuring out how to manage video compression software. For the former, I can wait a while; for the latter, I've heard good things about Handbrake.
