Going back and heading forward.

Last year today, I went back to California. This year today, after taking yesterday off, I began a new writing project. I'm sure I'm going to throw out all the words I put together tonight in favor of better ones the next time I sit down with it, and it's still something. Now that it's not just in my head, I can figure out what to do with it.

What's pretty remarkable is this is an idea I've had banging around in my head for even longer than I was away from California. And now I'm committing to it, one word at a time.
