Closet work.

Attempts to extend the lifespan of some of my bras with faulty underwire were met with failure today. I'd already taken them out of rotation, as it were, and it's still annoying that these are objects I've had for a long time and have to discard because they don't serve their purpose anymore. Everything else about them works. Just not this part. I'd pull out the underwire on both sides if I thought that'd work, but they're not designed for that, either. So it's off to fabric recycling. As soon as I get comfortable with the idea.

Interesting that the elastic hasn't failed before the underwires did; usually with mine, the underwires were the last to fail.

Underwires stabbing you in the armpit are the fucking worst, my condolences. It's also very frustrating when things aren't mendable.

When I wore underwire bras, I would tend to snap the metal before anything else wore out. That was replaceable. But even so, their days were then numbered, because once I unpicked one end of the channel to put a new one in, I could never get it as secure again.
