A two-hour conversation with a friend covering new fandoms, ongoing projects, lived-in conditions, humor analysis, character motivations and metaphoric conditions is fun, and boy is it tiring. I don't know if it's because of the intensity of the conversation - both the topics and the focus we gave them - or if it's because I'm out of practice at this kind of thing.

Either way, I think it's time for ice cream. And some notes on where to go when I next pick up the ongoing project, because she gave me some very good stuff to think about.
