Global social networks are crumbling. Small-scale fandom spaces are fracturing. Websites keep changing their interfaces. I have a consistent feeling of "I'm just sitting here" and trying to figure out how to adjust to the changes, and what changes are worth adjusting to in the first place. I've got a little bit of a sniffle and some tiredness in the days, which genuinely helps add some perspective: what I'm willing to roll with, and what has me cut my losses when my energy's low.

In additional news of rolling with changes, a restaurant a few blocks away closed, so today I was able to buy a bunch of mostly-empty bottles of rum and tequila and bourbon, a whole lot of salt, a bunch of spices, and a lot of matcha powder. With some of it, I know how I'll be using it, and with the rest of it, I know how I'll be using it - I need to figure out when's a good time to drink up.

Yeah it's been change, change, change these last few years. Your mention of the closed restaurant makes me think of how the local landscape has shifted too. We've had openings too, but there are also a number of things that went away for good.
