Hallowing.
I had reason to go to a doctor's office today. The receptionist was dressed as a dog of some sort, with the muzzle and nose painted on her mask and her hair up as a couple of big ears. One woman was in an orange long-sleeved shirt and orange pants, another man was in a green shirt and dark pants, and the man I went to see had a white shirt, blue pants, and an orange ascot.
I'm a little disappointed I had to leave before Daphne showed up.
Also of note for the holiday, on my walk back from the office, I stopped to pet a cat out on the street, which is a joyful moment any day of the year. The thing that has me needing to say I'm not making it up is that it was black. Not entirely - there were a few white hairs scattered across its body here and there - but, basically, a black cat. Out on Halloween, spreading the cheer.
