Garment development.

I come back from vacation, do the laundry, and wreck a bra. Granted, this wasn't a bra I paid much for, so it's not a huge loss. To be precise, it was a bra I didn't pay anything for. I got it several jobs back, close to four years ago, out of a drawer in a medical office along with some other clothes that'd been discarded or forgotten by patients who'd come in for one reason or another. It managed to fit me pretty well, which was a surprise - anytime a bra fits pretty well is a surprise, really - and I took decent care of it, but decent care only went so far when it'd already come a long ways to get to me.

It's wireless, and the way it got wrecked was the already slightly fraying fabric covering finally came loose from the one piece that's the band, cups, and straps, so there's a couple points of connection between the bra itself and the fabric covering. I'm sure I could wear it a couple more times if I did something ingenious or clever with the material, but that's not where my creativity lies. So I'll simply accept it's not something I can pick out of the drawer in the morning anymore and find a place to recycle the garment.
