Challenge 15

In your own space, create your own challenge. Leave a comment to this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

1. Brush your teeth.

A simple act of routine maintenance, done at least once a day, fighting against bad hygiene - and reminding you to take care of the physical body you live in, to see to its upkeep and fight against depression and the sensation that no time is passing. Mark the days by doing something that keeps you going, physically and mentally.

2. Pick a quitting time.

For the night, for the current phase of the project, for the morning, for the week, for getting ready for something: accept that after a certain point, there's no getting anything else done. Maybe you need to stop and have some water before finishing folding the day's laundry. Maybe you need to go to bed and finish the report in the morning. Pay attention to when you need to stop - and what you need to do to pick things up again.

(Hat-tip to The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook for the specific phrase.)

There's no time limit to these. There's no check-in. All I'm asking is for you to take a stab at them, to see what you can do.

The quitting time is one I need to keep practicing, as it's something I struggle with a lot.

Both of these are excellent and things I wouldn't have thought of needing to remind myself to do. And yet, I'd benefit from it, so thanks!

I try very hard to achieve both of those each day. It helps that I've set an automation routine to physically turn the television off at a certain time as a reminder that quitting time is definitely a necessity.
