There's some construction and repair work happening where I take my usual bike ride through the park, prompting me to have to find an alternate route. It's not a problem - I can stay in the park, I just have to go left instead of right to get around a hill.
Besides the removal of the potholes, I'm liking that the construction and repair is happening right now. Right at this time of year. Because the asphalt and whatnot gets pretty clean before any work's done, but it's not fully cleaned. And it's springtime. Big sticks and branches get cleared off, and people don't walk on it, but if a little bit of something falls into the spots they're working on, it's probably going to stay there through the entirety of the work and into the road. All the way down at the very base of them.
Something about the idea of roads being paved at least in part with cherry blossoms seems unbearably poetic to me.
