Start of the Year of the Ox.
It does and doesn't feel like a week since I've posted. Does, because my sleep schedule was off by something terrible for a few days this week - I slept enough, but was going to bed around one and two and getting up and nine, and I know some of that was going through a lull period in writing. When it took upwards of three hours to get the words, that eats into the night. Then I had a good night of getting back to the story I wanted to tell, and was able to get to bed at a good hour. That, and today I finished a chunk of a work project that'd been looming at the back of my mind for a while. The project isn't done, but the feeling of this chunk being finished is quite the relief.
Doesn't, because when the days slip together and there still isn't much happening besides every so often remembering I need to send and reply to emails and comments and letting that all drift off into the ether, and I'm not even taking many bike rides, my mind and the world start fading.
The absolute highlight of the last week was a long, intense conversation with
petra this last Sunday which knocked me out of a day-long funk. I need more of those. Both knocks out of funks, and intense conversations. I'm so looking forward to Escapade this coming week, you have no proper idea.
Also, I think I've figured out an alternate bike route, and I'm looking forward to trying it out tomorrow.
