Work updates.
Glory be, I'm getting paid. It's absolutely the highlight of the day. The paperwork went through, direct deposit is working, and I'm getting paid the money I should've received some weeks ago. I'm taking this to mean the rest of my earned salary will arrive in due course, weeks past when it should - but regularly, since it's a Wednesday.
At this point, I'll take it.
I'll also take having fun by being as physically expressive as I can. If I can't get a person in a given apartment to speak on behalf of the unit, I can get someone to speak as a proxy in their place - a doorman, a superintendent, a neighbor. If they say they can help, I'll do the show-of-triumph thing of bending my knees down a bit, pumping my fists in the air, going "Yes! Thank you!" and making a big production of how thankful I am they can even vouch that yes, that apartment was occupied by three people in April, it's fine you don't know their names, you know for certain it was three people, that's excellent, thank you so much, thank you, thank you.
It helps pass the time.
