Words flying in cloudy rooms.
I'm all done with the spackling edits on my current WIP. Typos, repetition, structure, flow - I thought it'd take to the end of the month, but I guess I've been drinking some really good coffee these last couple of weeks.
This means what's left is a handful of pieces of extremely specialized research, the kind where I have to do some work to even figure out the questions I need to ask, and to extend the architecture metaphor, a lot of structural renovations. Highlighting certain aspects of the characters throughout to give the narrative more strength, shifting the participants of one scene to emphasize important themes, stuff like that. It'll take a bit longer, and it's something I'm looking forward to.
But after some chocolate.
