This is fantastic! After reading, I find I have a serious kink for Spike in Space. Especially a Spike that runs into Space Slayers.
I adore the vampire monotheism of a vengeful Slayer goddess. Religion is often a tool to keep everybody in line, so this makes perfect sense. And when you've got at least 2 of your bretheren who not only met her, but worshipped at her holiest of holies, well, it's almost a foregone conclusion. Funny that Angel, at least, hasn't become a man of the cloth, so to speak.
So much was sad and bittersweet, that the emergence of Taura added the ideal countering bright spot. The Slayer lives on, should she be needed, and Spike is just the vamp to show her that she isn't, and to give her the joy of being worshipped in the meantime.
I'll be thinking about this one for a long time. (I also haven't read Vorkosigan Saga, yet.)
