Both of those sound so good! (The goose egg and the cake.) I had never actually seen a goose egg, so I Googled them and ran across emu eggs in the process! I told Mister Nightdog_barks that they reminded me of giant green avocados, which makes the old Southern nickname for avocados, alligator eggs pears, seem particularly apt. :D

Edited because my unfaithful brain substituted eggs for pears. Sigh.
