I do the same thing; I put off turning on the AC because I love having the windows open (and I have trees in the front and back yards that help keep the house cool), and then one day I'm like, Hey, haven't written in a week, don't really want to do *anything*, what's up with that? Oh, yeah, the heat. I'm lucky enough to have central air, so though it's pricey it's effective.
