I think I missed the magnolia peak this year. Given the look of the trees in Union Square, it seems likely - which is more of a disappointment than anything else. I know there's going to be another peak magnolia moment next year, but they've always been such a high point to my springtimes since moving here, it's knowing I didn't have the time to head out to see them and say hello again this time around that's itching at me.

I guess it means to pay attention to the cherry trackers, remember the roses and lilacs, and take solace in Sakura Park if I can't get the time to get off this particular island.
